Dr. Lubomír Továrek focuses on the surgery of the anterior segment of the eye – mostly cataract and refractive surgery, but also surgical solutions to glaucoma. He is the holder of the accreditation for the implantation of multifocal eye lenses AcrySOF ReSTOR, phakic eye lenses Cachet and STAAR VISIAN ICL, the implantation of corneal rings Keraring and other premium eye lenses.
Education and practice:
Dr. Továrek has been repeatedly given a prize from the Czech Society of refractive and cataract surgery as one of the most often operating cataract surgeons. All in all, he has performed more than 20.000 cataract surgeries. In the year 2009, he received a diploma from the Czech Society of refractive and cataract surgery (ČSRKCH) for performing a total of 10.000 surgical procedures.
He is a member of several professional associations: The Czech ophthalmologic Society, the Czech Society of refractive and cataract surgery, the European Society for refractive and cataract surgery, the Czech vitreoretinal Society or the Czech Doctors´ Chamber. He also gives lectures and actively publishes, for example, he is a co- author of a chapter Cataract in the book „Eye medicine“ (Rozsíval a spol.).
